The Sunday Post

Happy Sunday!

The Sunday Post is a weekly news meme, hosted by The Caffeinated Reviewer. I'll be posting the first Sunday of each month and I hope you'll join me.

The weather in July was beautiful, perfect for outdoor activities. The occasional thunderstorm rolled through mostly at night, a couple times while I was at work, and never on the weekends, so that was a highlight of the month.

I've been reading Book of Night by Holly Black but I'm a bit distracted. I found out that the barn where I board my horse will be sold, and I'm a bit too panicked over that to concentrate on my book. Who will it sell to? I've been downgraded to a pleasure rider due to my horse's age and health problems so we'd probably be evicted from a show barn were one to move in. And if the property ever sold to a developer we'd absolutely be told to get out. So I've been looking at alternative housing options, but the reality is I don't want to leave... I just might have to.

I didn't blog much in the month of July, same reason as above, but I did make time for two reviews.

Books I reviewed in July were:

Both are book one in duologies, and I hope to pick up the sequels soon even though my summer reading list is already over ambitious.

I hope you all had a great July and don't be afraid to let me know what you're reading in the comments!

Comments

  1. I recently started The Knight and The Moth by Rachel Gillig and I am liking it a lot. I am going to have to check out more of her work.
