Top Ten Books on My Summer 2025 to-Read List

Today's Top Ten Tuesday, hosted by ThatArtsyReaderGirl, is Books On My Summer 2025 To-Read List. I didn't have to work hard this week to find titles, I conveniently keep a list of my reading materials on my 'Upcoming Reviews' tab. Pay no attention to my 'Currently Reading' tab... It's not that accurate.

  1. Justify: 111 Days to Triple Crown Glory by Lenny Shulman
  2. Iron Flame Rebecca Yarros
  3. The Midnight Library by Matt Haig
  4. 1984 by George Orwell
  5. Farenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
  6. One Dark Window by Rachel Gillig
  7. Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo
  8. Book of Night by Holly Black
  9. The Brides of Maracoor by Gregory Maguire
  10. Kiss the Girls by James Patterson
I promised myself not to acquire any more books, new or library, until these are read.

Have you heard of or read any of these? What did you think of them?

  1. I STILL need to read Iron Flame myself! I held off because I knew 2 books in 1 year would result in a killer cliffhanger but now with book 4 being undetermined I don't know when I should start! I'll probably cave at some point but we'll see how this year goes! Lol.

    Thanks for visiting my TTT!

    1. I didn't even know there was going to be a book 4, i thought it was a trilogy! i guess i don't have to rush into onyx storm once i've read iron flame. i've got time to kill.

  2. I've read a few -- the classics are really worth the effort (1984, Fahrenheit 451). I was not a fan of Iron Flame, but I know I'm in the minority on that one. I've been curious about The Brides of Maracoor. I didn't end up reading the Wicked series beyond the first book, but this one looks great! Good luck with your summer reading!

  4. I love dystopian books, but I STILL haven't read 1984! I really need to do that one of these days, LOL. I hope you enjoy all these.

    Happy TTT (on a Wednesday)!

    1. Dystopia is a fascinating subject , there's so many ways a world can end. and what can happen after of course.

  5. I read multiple books from your TBR, with alternating success. One Dark Window clicked with me more in autumn/winter than in summer though because of the dark and gloomy atmosphere.
