Top Ten Reasons I Love Being A Reader

My picks for the Tuesday Top Ten, as invented by The Broke and Bookish. Today's theme is Top Ten Reasons I Love Being A Reader and, like many of my fellow bibliophiles out there, this is a list that could go on forever, but I'll restrict it to 10.

I love being a reader because...

1. ..my life is always full of exciting characters.
2. ...I'm always learning new things.
3. ...I get to travel to new, and sometimes strange, places.
4. ...I get to leave stark reality behind me, at least for a few hours.
5. ...It's an excuse to blog and chat with you fine people!
6. ...I never have to worry about getting bored.
When I read...
7. ...Magic is real.
8. ...Monsters do exist.
9. ...So do heroes.
10. ...I feel.

    Seriously, leaving the real world behind is my single favorite thing about reading. Real life sucks compared to books, haha. Great list! :)

    yes, the feelings are my favorite part! I love a book that can totally break my heart or make me incredibly happy!

   Happy Sunday! Welcome to my Sunday Post, a weekly blog news meme hosted by  caffeinatedbookreviewer . My blog is on the small side, so I decided I'll only be posting the first Sunday of each month and I hope you'll join me. The month of February has been eventful. I've had some wild weather in my neck of the woods: real feel listed as 11 degrees one day, switching to 60s and endless rain, and then to dry windstorms that brought trees down. I successfully managed not to freeze, drown, or fly. I became an aunt to a beautiful niece, who just narrowly escaped being a leap year baby, and I'm pretty excited about her arrival. My Kindle Touch was finally lost to the ravages of time but was replaced swiftly with a Kindle Paperwhite. Top Ten Things On My Bookish Bucket List

My picks for the Tuesday Top Ten, as invented by  The Broke and Bookish . Today's theme, the Top Ten Things On My Bookish Bucket List ( could be blogging related, book related etc. -- meeting authors, reading x many books per year, finishing a daunting book, etc .) made me have to think. I suppose finishing  my To-be-read-list, an improbable task, because the list keeps growing. I would love to meet JK Rowling...but I think I'd panic, forget what to ask/say her, and just stare at her and make her uncomfortable. I'd also like to meet John Ajvide Lindqvist because he made me love horror. I want to read Watership Down and Jurassic Park ...but for some odd reason I keep putting them off. I would like to have my copy of Miss Peregrine's School for Peculiars, signed.
